I'm guessing the software auto-scales so you can get the biggest curve for each graph to help show the curve gradients. I mean if you take the extreme and your car made 2,000ft-lbs of torque but could only rev to 1k rpm, the car would peak at 380HP. Trying to read the differences in the curve on the HP when its scale is 0 to 2500 would be insane as the entire thing would likely fall within 2 ticks on the scale. Granted this is a crazy exaggeration, but you get the idea.
