Hah, its more like the muffler tips are on the turbo's.
Rear mounted turbos are a lot more popular with domestic cars, I saw a very clean install of a kit on a C6 vette a few months after it first came out. I though that with the extremely long exhaust piping and charge pipes that it would have lots of lag, but with the huge V8 the owner told me that it wasn't too laggy at all. At least he doens't have to worry about heat problems under the hood or downpipe clearance.
