If you're not already doing it, shoot in bursts and try to pick a head-angle where the head is toward you, even if it's only one-degree. You got a nice sharp eye, but if it were looking toward you, then this'd be over the top. Bring up Shadows, add a touch of Contrast, Crop and you're pretty well ready to roll.

I'll set my camera to burst mode next time and will definitely have a play around with the contrast and cropping variations on the above image!
