Why not take it to an expensive shop. Get a quote send it to the insurance guys and they will mail you a check. Take that check and buy a M tech rear bumper and get it painted. Its cheaper this way. M3 rep bumpers are cheaper.
We had a mercedes get hit in the front and the fender. 4500 total damage! I couldn't believe it but we ended up just getting it done but if i were to just get a check I would profit about 3500 dollars.
