Is there any way to determine if this is the V1 or V2 of the RR OCC? I bought it from a friend and at the time I didn't know there were 2 versions, so I didn't ask... I'm guessing it's the V2 because it seems to be doing a good job at trapping the oil...

When you open the drain plug at the bottom, you should see steel wool inside of it and plenty of it! If so thats the new generation one supposedly as the older ones didn't
