The system has info on destination like restaurants, attractions, parks, etc. Also, it's really efficient and safe to use your cell phone with bluetooth. The navigation does a really nice job with routes and giving you alternates routes if you miss an exit, etc.

In terms of if it stays on when you turn your car off, I've never experienced this. It's always worked flawlessly, just turning off after pressing Start/Stop and removing the key (I don't have convenience package).
