Well i took my cdv out tonight, wow what a difference. Its such a nice feeling tranny now. I peeled out from first to second and second to third, never done that before (with DTC completely off). Its hard to describe, but the shifts are much crisper and quicker. Well worth the hassle below.

Of course my pressure bleeder that I ordered from Bav Auto didnt work, it leaked all over the place. So I bled it the old fashion way, under the car while someone pressed the clutch. Now my question is as follows. This is exactly what I did : I had someone press the clutch 5 to 6 times to push the air into the bleed valve, then push it all the way down to the floor and hold it. I would then loosen the bleed valve, and the fluid would spurt out then just trickle out. I did this about 3 times. The first time the pedal would not come up, the second two times, it came up on its own. Does this mean it was done right?

Opening the bleed valve is very very hard, its at such an akward angle and you barely have any room to work with.

I dont remember how the brake pedal felt before, but It sort of feels weird, but the clutch engages just perfect. Could it be just my imagination, or would you definately know something is not right if the clutch/brakes where not bled properly.

EvanL, in your DIY, you say to have someone press the clutch down while you open the bleeder, then close the bleeder before they get down to the bottom. Whats the difference between the way you say to do it, and the way I did it. I went off what was said here in this DIY.
