If it works on the 3 series, then retrofitting the CIC on the E60 would be no different.
Again I will keep you updated, once its coded/updated we can move onto the codes.

PS Willem just as a in between upgrade you can add the NEW controller on your old CCC - that alone is so much easier to use.
