a buddy of mine who is a mechanic at the dealer said they are actually trying to make sure that client never has to hear those new 6 cyl engines in condition like that. he said he heard it first time on e90 330i and it was crap. all crap. old engines didn't sound so bad. but fancy work with exhaust, resonators et al and you got sound.
but before, it sounds pretty lame, like in that clip. not surprising!
