I had paired my 335i with an LG CU500, the function had worked except for downloading contact list. My phone and Emergency SOS function stopped working all of a sudden one morning. I took it to the BMW Center who said the cause of the problem is that I paired it with a non-approved phone. They also said I should not pair any non-approved phones or risk BMW not paying for the repairs to re-program the phone functions even though pairing with a non-approved phone doesn't void the warranty.
They will go ahead and do the repairs and not charge me this time since I've only had less than three weeks and 600 miles on the car.
Has anyone heard of this?
