Great news! - thanks for the info.

The dealer told me that I would be up for a programming fee whatever happened. Do you know if it is possible for a replacement TCU, with identical part numbers, to be running a different software version and hence for there to be a requirement for re-programming. Or do you think the guy is just talking about clearing error codes (in which case I'll wait till the next service).

And sorry to be slightly off topic, but would the same apply to the replacement of a damaged PDC control unit?
