It does help makes it last longer, but it also depends on how smooth the paint is, is the car garaged or under covered when in use, etc.

Mine is a daily, parked outside, I just keep away from trees... Like the title of the thread should tell everyone to avoid parking under trees. haha But, I honestly don't have much of an issue with my wax not lasting.

I also wash my car once a month or if I don't have time I wash it every other month, and I always clay my car every time I wash it, so its super smooth like a baby's butt. But, I've done 3 months without washing my car, wax still stays on. =)

A good rule of thumbs is try out both our ways, and keep track to which method works best for you. Honestly, there's no set way to detail a car, just have to learn how to tailor it to your driving habits.
