So far I have managed the avoid any limp mode but running the heater on max and cycle the water pump and radiator to max speed through JB4 max cool mode. Worked alright in cooler track temp, but when it is approaching 90f out there I still have to do a cool down lap every now and then.

My approach is upgrade the stock oil cooler to the Dinan one which I got it for a deep discount (good kit). Still deciding to whether just run aux radiator as it is, or use the supplied hose to route a bigger core. See this thread that I made http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1048496

Also ecs sells the full kit, http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2770373/

You just need the air ducts and vents specific to which front bumper you have.
So yeah, this thread is from 2010 so I think the OP is long gone. I was just posting for posterity to help anyone searching not make the same mistake in ordering the bracket.

In case you are curious, I am planning to use this radiator core as a second oil cooler that I will plumb in series with my OEM one.
