You could try cleaning the Vanos Solenoids (a 10 to 20 minute job) and see if that helps. IIRC, Big Tom had your same codes and ended up cleaning rather than replacing the solenoids and solved the problem.
Anyway, just a few thoughts.

The codes came up when the car was fully warmed and slowly accelerating in 2nd gear. So I don't think it is a cold-start issue.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll dig around and see if I can find a DIY for cleaning the solenoids.
