After getting a new 328i, I think this new water-based paint business is garbage. Absolute garbage.

I've had this car for maybe two weeks, and I'm already having to resort to wetsanding. Literally. Most recently, some bird poop was on the hood for less than 24 hours, and I tried five different cleaners/polishes/compounds before I realize this was etched into the clear coat and not coming out.

Many other random scratches, and little dings of paint (down to the primer) coming off from a door hitting it (but no dings on the metal). I had a Honda previously, and the paint job on the there was several times better. No paint came off on that car unless there was a nice ding on the metal.

Oh, and the metallic touch up paint doesn't even blend as well as my old Honda's metallic touch up paint.

I am just so disappointed that a car that costs 3x as much as my old car has 3x worse paint quality.
