Thanks, I have already downloaded the PDF and yes the E-dip seems to only react to 1/2 qt. intervals in my case. I will start paying attention to the miles, I have found that after an oil change I will do a warm-up check to make sure it's in the safe zone then I will go for a drive and check it again, it's always a lower reading after about 50-75 miles.
