The wife and I also rented a car and spent the night in Dallas. We didn't want to do the 10 hour drive here. You will get some what stressed with the driving over here. Also, watch out for road debris. These maps might help through the shittiest parts of I35.

Thanks a lot for the tips. I have a dog, so I'd have to get back to him that night, or I might have considered staying. I'll be taking a bus down, so I will just try and catch a nice nap to help out with the long, more than likely frustrating day.
