It might also be limited to a production range of cars for all we know.
My opinion-- BMW realized they had a problem with PDC/Gong/BT/Nav after they told Dealers to code it in ISTA/P, and they revised the instructions to say that no coding was necessary.
Even with the lastest update to ISTA/P, the 'Alpine Hifi' coding selection is still present -- saw it myself.
