Quick question regarding seat belt pretensioners

Good evening guys, I have a question about the seat belt pretensioners in my e90 sedan. The car was in an accident and im in the process of rebuilding the car. In the accident the driver airbag and both curtain airbags blew. However, I'm not sure about the pretensioners.

From reading many many posts on this site ive learned that seat belt pretensioners always go off when the airbags do. When they go off they stay contracted due to the 'pulling action' of the tensioner.

So here is my question. I pulled out my back seat to look at the pretensiors to see what I need to replace. This is what I found (look at pictures). Both rear seat pretensioners obviously went off and are contracted. Furthermore, the driver side belt does not even latch. However...both front driver and passenger pretensioners are not contracted and dont appear to have gone off. I'm kind of confused about this because I would assume they would have went off. Since 'visually' they appear to be okay, is there any other way to check them to see if they are good or bad besides hooking the car up to a computer? I really dont have the means right now to do so since the car is not registered, salvaged, etc.

Any input whatsoever is appreciated! Thank you
