It's secure with double sided tape. It was annoying trimming the ducts, then fitting it, then trimming some more, then fitting the ducts, trim some more, etc....
The point I'm trying to make is that there's not much room to work with. So the ducts are secure against the bumper and plastic fender well liners. I've had the bumper for close to 4 months now. No issues.
