Yes, totally disabled.

There is also a mode on the steering wheel where the shift lights do not illuminate.
The readout at the top of the steering wheel can display a lot of information.
EfficientDynamics mode: consumption, average speed, oil temperature/water temperature
Sport: longitudinal/later G meter, stopwatch, water/oil temps, and shift lights illuminated
Race: LAP mode, stopwatch, SECTION mode, 400m and 1/4 mile race, shift lights illuminate

I have been keeping it in Sport mode.

LOL yes. Note that it only looks like that for the pics, as I am in "adjust brightness" mode for the LEDs. Ordinarily they would never look like that.
