We have a iffy fuel system to begin with in terms of reliability, add a corrosive fuel like E85 and potentially open up more reliability problems and you have less power to work with cause of the fuel ceiling.

Are kidding me!! Even if you where to ran out of fuel 20% sooner; you would still make more power and run Safer than with reg octane.
Reg octane is corrosive too;
Have you ever tuned with E85?
