I agree that it does get a very bad press but my engine has been flawless. It hasn't got a lot of torque but it's almost completely silent and not a bad car to drive. ( As long as you don't try to beat a Honda FR-V from the lights
) In BMW terms it's sh*t but compared to most other manufacturer's saloons it's a pretty quick car.
Would I buy another one? Probably not, I'm going to get a 330d next or something similar.
