I really jacked up a car (not my BMW) back in December & got 5 tickets(?) for it. What I did was found a lawyer who was very familiar & close with the prosecutor for the municipal court, got all the tickets lowered, used up my remaining "Unsafe Driving" plea & paid ~$1k in court fees + then another $500 for my lawyer.
IMO, that's the
BEST course of action: find a lawyer who's familiar with the court system & if you're lucky, knows the prosecutor for whatever court you're getting tried at. If you're driving record is "clean", you'll probably get everything brought done & possibly dismissed if you trade for a court fine.
Just me, I'd rather fork over a bunch of change + put it behind me then deal with raised insurance premiums & carrying points on my license.
