As for the ops question - I don't think there is anything wrong with either a 335d or an E46 M3 and I've had both too. The problem here is 'the deal.'
That M3 is fuckloads too pricey and I'd say your D is probably worth more. A deal which sees you paying them is a bad deal in my opinion.
