It is hard to say an exact mileage, as so much of it likely depends on how the car has been driven. But, if it is daily driver that sees a mix of crummy urban streets and highways I would say 50-60k would be the time to replace your struts and shocks. Not saying the old stuff would really be completely worn out at this point, but they would definitely have loosened up a bit.
