Not sure what you guys are trying to do. We put subs in and they work fine. Remember that the perception of bass depends both on the sub-bass - what can come from a subwoofer - and mid-bass, 50 cycles and up, which is harder to get out of a trunk of a well-made car, but which ought to be coming out of the underseat woofers in a well-setup system in our cars.

So if your shop is putting bass in the trunk and new door speakers, and doing nothing underseat, of COURSE there's a huge hole in your sound - especially with all those EU base Stereo systems with no amp and 6" mids under the seat in the 8" locations.

One reason we start underseat rather than in the trunk.
