tail light harness

My buddy owns E60 and was wondering if he was able to mount LCI tail lamps, on his pre lci 525i.
I looked at it and had different harness, and was wonder if there is plug n play harness for LCI tail lamps.
I would really appreciate for any info on swaping them tail lamps.
and also do I need to code it so it want flash?
