I have loads of M3 pieces, not only the rear ARB but also the bushings, so of course that may contribute.

However, I would always give the standard springs a try before swapping them out, as Öhlins developed the kit like this and I do believe that they are competent enough to know what they're doing. If you still find it too soft, you can always change the springs later.
