I just had a similar problem and expect it to be the water pump, getting the tstat replaced aswell. Its in the shop today getting done. Pump and tstat kit i got from trischer for 475$ id replace the thermostat aswell since thats gotta be removed to replace the water pump and is know to have problems aswell.
