I had Bilstein PSS9's on my Audi Rs6 and they were brilliant! Felt more comfortable than standard and amazing body control for such a big car.
I would agree that unless you plan to track the car then a decent set of springs will do for our shoddy roads! I have had eibach on previous BMW's and my 306 rallye and would def give them the thumbs up for ride quality and handling.
