these days you have to be bonkers not to send the reg doc in as you could end up with a pile of speeding/parking fines and no licence, that's why I make sure isend it off immediately. its not always convenient where I live due to an excess of double yellow lines (there are a number of over zealous parking gestapo) to go to the PO to record a letter.
