I dont think thats true in the US, check the spec on the oil they supply. My local dealer still regularly supply LL-98 and LL-01. The current European spec is at least LL-04, unless they are importing lower quality oil for US bound cars you will be getting a car built with LL-04 or higher.

A few techs told me a week ago that the oil from the factory is changed when the vehilce arrives at the VPC.
