I take it you did not watch the race?
The BMW´s were the fastest cars on track. They led most of the race but BS marshalls decided to punish BMW for BS stuff that nobody else got punished for.
Examples,
Vette spin the Tequila Ferrari out in slow corner. No punishment.
BMW spin a GTC Porsche. Punishment
Porsche jumps a place before the race even starts. No punishment.
