I would not go with 55 Watt, you could damage your wiring, harness, relay, or even melt the housing.
Stay with the 35Watt. 2006-2007 are notorious for being picky. We've tried over a dozen high quality canbus ballast in conjunction with HPB to find a solution for 2006-2007 3 series cars.
