Yes, the sound will definitely be better with aftermarket speakers. I upgraded all speakers with bavsound and noticed an improvement. Then I added a Bimmertech amp and was blown away. That DSP unit is the bomb.
All depends on how much you want to spend and how much you like front sound staging.
Added an sub amp and sub and must say this thing is damn near perfect.
