Hardwiring the radar
I'm sorry for the very short description.
Yes hard wiring the radar detector in an e93 is very easy to do. If you look up at panel with the SOS button and lights, this is the spot. Pop this panel down with a screwdriver, easier when the roof is down and in the trunk if you ask me. After unclipping the sos/light panel you will to tap into one of the power wires of the lights. I forgot which one exactly but can be easily found online by googling it. Then tuck the hardwire remaining slack into this cavity. This should take care of the power situation. Then you can play around with the power wire to get it in the best position possible.
