I haven't experienced anything like that on my E90 but from previous experieces on my other car I can tell you it's probably nothing major. I guess sometimes when the steering wheel is left in a certain position, the car will not start and I've encountered this on many different occasions and on different cars. Try moving the steering wheel while you push the start/stop button. Anyways that's how I would get it started and it always worked. Good luck.
