I wonder if the tyres have been mounted on the wrong wheels, or the entire wheels are on the wrong corners.

Either way with the wrong tyres/wheels on the wrong place and probably tyre directions wrong, your car must have been a dog to drive.

Does the car run straight when you let the steering wheel find its centre?

No wonder the tyres are worn badly.

After 7 months I wonder how the dealer will deal with this.

Best of luck.

Apologise, and then take the keys away before someone gets hurt?

PLEASE TELL ME that it was just wrong tyre on the right alloy and you didn't actually have 2x 8.5J alloys on one side, 2x 8J alloys on the other. Cause that'd cross the boundary between and shouldn't be allowed to drive

OP: I jest. But I honestly can't believe you didn't realise you had different width tyres on each side of the car...
