All the posts so far are valid. I would add that you should indeed take delivery in the morning, w/ plenty of light. This will expose all the surfaces of the body for close examination. Of course, also take a short drive. My rookie mistake was not to look at the paint finish carefully; there were some fine scratches probably due to the dealer wax. Of course, also take a short drive.
