my rear wheels are 8.5" +35 offset, so the 20mm just brings it to +10, just flush with the fender. But come to think of it, I did start hearing the noise a day or two after the install...but it doesnt sound like a rubbing noise at all. More like a metal grinding sound.

However, I'll double check the spacers tonight.
