I've lived in Pa all my life and have had a honda civic in the past.. Snow can get bad sometimes, but not enough (in my opinion) to get a XI.. I have gotten stuck at times in heavy snow but thats bc my car was dropped and I had all season tires and not winter tires on.. I was thinking bout the same issue and have read in so many different places that tires is more important than drivetrain..

I plan on gettin a set of 17 inch wheels for the winter and slapping on some winter tires. I live in Montgomery County btw 45 mins away from philadelphia.
