if someone will skill buffs a car the only way to tell that the car was buffed is the shine and crystal clear clearcoat. If its a 5yr old car, yes it will have a deeper scuff, chips, etc etc.

but there should not be swirls, or light, faint scratches. The only things the dealer could do to make it look good & hide stuff in the paint would be sealent & wax.

Both will fill micro scracthes, swirls, etc etc. once they begin to degrade and slowly wear away is when you will see all the imperfections that they were hiding.


I detail at a high end shop, you would be shocked how many 100k cars we do that look like total sh!t. after a light polish, clay, wax + seal all of that is gone.
