The OEM color is dakar yellow, but the previous owner repainted it. I'm not entirely sure, but I'm thinking it could be the phoenix yellow? I've seen a few e46's in phoenix and this seems pretty close.
Btw, I found a set of those throwing stars (style 21's) you were telling me about the other day. But by the time I got off work and called the guy he had already sold them!!!
Too bad... They are hard to find.
