You have confirmed my suspicion that the turbos run out of steam earlier at high altitude. At 12,000 ft you have to shift at 4500rpm or so.

I'm MT. And yeah the car does peak earlier up here. I've noticed that with all the turbo cars I've owned. SMall turbos are over-boosting to compensate & running outside their peak efficiencies.
