The answer is NO it won't work! I did it with a M3 manual steering wheel and lost my DS mode. I too did not want the paddles as I use the shifter. I loved the feel of the wheel so much I didn't change for like 3 months and put stock back on and had DS mode working perfect. Don't do it!
