In my case, my car has shadowline trim, as described in the thread. The solution shown has helped reduce my door rattles, though the application needs to be repeated about once a month.
Another thing I think helps (maybe) is: if you apply Gummi Pfledge or other compounds to your seals, leave your doors open for a couple hours after application to let the seals expand a bit. Worth a try at least.
