Vishnu also told me a few days ago that the Procede does account for recirculation.
I dont believe that the recirculation is much to worry about with respect to what we perceive when we drive. I do think that the surge of air during shifts do help to keep the turbine spooled, but is probably only most effective when tracking, or serious time-trial driving.
