This icon is for notification/reminder for a yearly safety inspection if mandated by the State you live in (USA). The date is programmable. However, as I found out, the icon only comes up at the end of the month you set it to, not the beginning of the month. It is best to set the date to the month BEFORE your annual inspection is due. So if your annual inspection is due in May, set the reminder for April; on April 30th the notification will come on.
