Some thoughts
You could spend $50 for the BMWCCA if you haven't already. I know they run specials for previous owners.
IMO, just try to sell your ride privately and get that $2k more. You're losing $2k-ish going through the dealer for convenience. It's up to you to decide if it's worth it.
Also, you mentioned "to lease another bmw" is this currently a leased vehicle? Or are you trading in financed car for the lease?
